Meet Our Founders!

Annie, Co-Founder

This is Annie. Little Miss I don't have time for this.

Annie is a content writer and growth marketer. She's chronically chasing a deadline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Between client calls, strategy sessions, and deliverables, laundry was the last thing on her mind.

She tried local laundries for a while. Some delayed, some overcharged, one burnt her cute black pants without saying sorry, and one lost her special checkered shirt. (P.S It was a gift from her boyfriend) and denied ever getting it.

The worst part? She still had to leave her house to drop off and pick up the clothes, because do you want delivery fees to choke her?

Gaius, Co-Founder

This is Gaius. Data Analyst, Nurse, Customer Success Associate, and Operations Specialist. The G is for genius.

Before joining the work from home squad, Gaius used to work 9–5 in Lagos. Actually, more like a 5–9. Up at 5 am, out by 6:30, traffic, work all day, traffic again, home by 9pm.

When Saturday mornings came, all he wanted was to sleep. But iffa hear.

He had to wake up early, beat the neighbours to the line, spend his morning washing and hanging and just like that, the day was gone. Then he spends Sunday evenings ironing. If there was light. He tried to outsource once and the laundry mixed his whites with a pink shirt. Let's just say he's had his reservations ever since.

Annie and Gaius planning Washup Weekly

Annie and Gaius sat down one evening and decided they were awesome, nothing was impossible, they wanted to be the change they wanted to see in the world, bla bla bla. And that's how Washupweekly was born.

Now Annie does marketing, and some Chief Executive Officer sprinkle sprinkle at Washupweekly, and Gaius manages our customer support and is the red cap Chief of Operations.

What We're Building

We're not trying to reinvent laundry. Clothes get dirty. Water and detergent clean them. Iron makes them smooth. We get it.

What we're reinventing is the experience.

✅

Reliability

We do exactly what we say, we show up when we say we will, and we deliver what we promise.

🌊

Ease

Our decisions are guided by one question: "Does this make life easier for our customers?" If something creates friction, confusion, or anxiety for our customers, we do our best to eliminate it.

⏰

Respect for Time

We value punctuality, meeting deadlines, and ensuring our customers are never kept waiting unnecessarily.

🤝

Integrity

We tell the truth, especially when it's uncomfortable. We are honest and do what's right for the customer even when it costs us.

❤️

Care

Every garment matters. We treat every item like it's irreplaceable, because to someone, it is.

⚡

Efficiency

Using clear processes, responsible resource management, and getting tasks right the first time to save time and avoid waste. We work smarter, not harder.

🌱

Sustainable Growth

We're building for the long run and building systems that last.

🔥

Our Purpose

No one should be wasting precious hours doing laundry when they could be building their business, resting, playing with their kids, or creating memories with people they love. We want to give our users their time back and make laundry predictable, reliable, and effortless.

⭐️

Our Vision

To become the most trusted household name for laundry convenience across Africa by redefining how people experience cleanliness, comfort, and how they spend their time. A lifestyle brand that gives millions of Africans reliable, professional laundry care while creating jobs and improving quality of life.
